The Mejiro semi-apartments are located in one of the most famous school districts in Tokyo. The world renowned Waseda University is just a few blocks away and you could easily find students from all over the world exchanging ideas around the campus. In addition, the Japan Women`s University, the Gakushuin University and the Ochanomizu University are all within walking distance from the Mejiro station. This area is indeed full of learning atmosphere.
As for daily living, Mejiro is also a very convenient location. If you would like to go to Shinjyuku, it only takes 15 minutes by the JR Yamanote line. Ikebukuro is even closer with just 1 station, where you could even go there on foot. Apart from the usual supermarkets and convenience stores, you could also find a lot of neat but distinctive fashion stores, restaurants, etc. nearby.
